So Behind

I am once again very behind on my blog here and there has been so much going on. I see that it hasn't been since Oct.15 since my last entry. We finished up our soccer and volleyball season which was so fun watching this year. We ar now into Basketball practice and will have our first game on the 8th of December..man, where did the past couple months go?

This year for Halloween Breanna had decided to be the girl from Pirates of the Carribean and then changed her mind after her aunt Jean decided to make her a fancy Southern Belle dress-Breanna is really into anything that suggests beauty and she is all girl so she was very excited for weeks. Jean came over to help curl her hair and of course I got photos of that along with their costumes. We actually had nice weather this year for Halloween and didn't have to wear snow boots and the kids got quite the fill of candy:-)

November 2nd we had a retirement party for my Dad and all got together and went to Mt City Grill-I love that place! We had ordered a fishing cake for Dad from one of the local gals here that does an EXCELLENT job on her cakes. He was so suprised and just loved the design on it.

He now is working at Sportsmans Warehouse part time and is really loving his new job-of course he works in the fly fishing dept.

Thanksgiving was spent again with our good friends at their house-I made potatoes, green bean casserole and 2 pumpkin pies. We had a lot to eat and I think I was full for two days:-)

That was another beautiful day as well.

We had our first snow fall on Nov. 17th and it is still here and then some:-) I have taken many winter photos so far-probably more than i usually do but the stillness of Winter and the white on the trees is Beautiful!

Here are a few photos to catch up this season.

Catching Up-the past couple of weeks

Life has been quite hectic the past couple of weeks between games with soccer and volleyball. Yesterday was our last Soccer game/tournament of the season and although I love watching the kids play it is always nice when it is over for a break and to spend more time together before Winter comes. They played hard and strong, I don't know how they have so much energy to run all that time but they do. They have their last volleyball game tomorrow after school so it will be fun to see how they do, I wonder if they get as tired as the parents do running to game after game. I really do love the sports but with it being two of them at once this year for the girls it is very ongoing and can wear a person out. I think next year we are going to stick to one sport at a time-Good Idea!
I am getting into the Christmas mode, well thinking about it anyway-the decorations, the baking and the shopping. I know I am kind of weird that way, I love the holiday and everything about it..sometimes my husband doesn't understand this about me because he is more of a "scrooge" kind of person and doesn't get into it as much as I do. He looks at the financial side of it more. I think most all men do this:-) I also love making my cards to send out to family and friends every year and every year the number goes up(thanks to all the special people I meet) year after year. I finally took the kids' annual Fall photos to include with the cards and I just love how they turned out. I can't decide which one to use yet so I might be making my mind up at the last minute. LOL Making my cards is one of the funnest parts of Christmas, I just bought a couple of stamps at the beginning of the month at Stamp Happy, Paper Crazy. I can't wait to use them and have many ideas for cards going through my head already-this happens to me regularly when I go into a scrapbook or stamp store..I get very excited about the images I see and the paper I could use. Yes, I think I am truly addicted to the craft of both.
Here are a few of the photos I took of the kids in their fall attire posing for me so patiently.

A few cards I made

These are some cards I did for a swap I was in. I have gotten away from card making this Summer with it being so busy and events happening this Summer so this was a bit of a challenge for me, it is a good thing I have a nice stash of supplies to use. Now that Fall is near I am feeling very "creative" and ready to jump back into my cardmaking and scrapbooking full force.

My Baby Niece

I have been waiting for this day for so long..when my Baby Brother and his wife would have their first baby. That dream came true on Aug. 9th--she was finally born and what a sweetie she is. I love every little bitty bit of her from her head to her cute toes. We went to see her the same evening she was born and I couldn't help but get teary eyed when I held her and hugged my Brother. Babies have a way of doing that to me. I love the smell of newborns and the way they look-so innocent and pure, she though is extra special -that is just me and the way I am, it makes it very special to be a part of the family and be able to give her kisses and hugs as she grows. I am blessed and very thankful for my brother, his wife and their new bundle of joy. I know she will grow fast and I hope I am called upon to watch her when they need a break or want a date:-) I will gladly accept.
THANK HEAVEN FOR LITTLE GIRLS!!!!
I love you sweet Tayler :-)

My Babies:-)

There are many things in my life that are inspiration to me and the way I live but there are none as precious as my 3 kids that God has blessed me with. They make me who I am today, although they have grown much since these photos were taken they will always be my "babies". They are now 12, 9 and 7(will be 8 on Aug.7th) and boy have they taught me some very interesting things about myself and the way I see things in life. Important things, the things that no one can take away from you and they all are inspiration to me. This is a start of a new blog for me and the things that touch my life in one way or another-some good and some not so good but all in all they are the things that make me who I am.
